The invention protects a self-static retractor of the external auditory canal, useful in endoscopic ear surgery which allows the cartilage to be separated as much as possible, to make the passage of optics and surgical instruments easier. A rigid structure is attached to the autostatic retractor which allows the surgeon to use both hands.
The owner of this patent is currently looking for:
Device for retracting an ear canal of a patient, comprising a first and a second ear insert arranged parallelly, substantially in contact, respectively comprising a first and a second recessed portion facing each other, defining an opening between them, and extending therefrom before and second portion, in a direction transverse to the extension direction of the inserts defining a cantilevered duct accessible through the opening, an extensible element connected to the first and second ear inserts and configured to vary their transversal distance. A plurality of anchors fixed perimetrically on the cantilever canal and extended radially such that the cantilever canal is arranged within the ear canal and the first and second earplugs are spaced apart via the spacer such that the anchors constrain such device to the ear.
