Development of a water-repellent treatment with low environmental impact, with high added value in relation to the properties conferred, the products used and the high knowledge content. The treatment is carried out by applying an organic-inorganic ceramic coating with water-repellent, fluoro-free and formaldehyde-free properties, using the common methods of industrial application.

Technical features

The technology in question is based on sol-gel which allows the creation of hybrid organic-inorganic coatings with water-repellent properties through the hydrolysis and condensation of organometallic precursors, stable to maintenance cycles. The current benefits can be summarized by a sustainable and innovative water repellent textile finish that combines excellent water repellent performance and high wash resistance, while maintaining the inherent breathability of the fabric and no impact on the appearance of the fabric, hand feel and overall comfort. As for technological applications, waterproof fabrics have many uses, including products for everyday wear, sportswear and protective clothing for industrial or technical applications, offering nature-friendly protection that keeps fabrics dry.
