Introduction

A device (1) of the type of an antenna, a heater, an electromagnetic screen, an electrical interconnection and the like, which comprises at least one laminar supporting layer (3) for at least one flexible ribbon-like conducting path (4) which is essentially constituted by preassembled graphene derivatives.

Technical features

The present technology relates to:
-a device of the type of an antenna, a heater, an electromagnetic screen, an electrical interconnection and the like;
-a process and a laminar blank for providing devices of the type of an antenna, a heater, an electromagnetic screen, an electrical interconnection and the like.

The demand for new flexible conductive films or paths with low cost and environmentally friendly processes is increasing in many different fields, like flexible electronics, energy and composites. Graphene is a bi-dimensional crystal of pure Carbon with exceptional mechanical, electrical and thermal properties. The high conductivity and high flexibility of graphene-based conductive paths make the processing easy on a wide variety of substrates materials, with no need of high temperature processes or chemical etching, and can be deposited on many substrates like paper, plastic or even fabrics.

Possible Applications

  • Flexible NFC devices: electronic keys, business cards, smart posters, electronic passports, wearable devices;
  • Flexible heaters;
  • Electromagnetic screens;
  • Electrical interconnections.

Advantages

  • No need of high temperatures;
  • Highly flexible, electrical conductive and versatile material;
  • Processes easy to scale up;
  • Environmentally friendly processes and devices;
  • Chemically and thermally stable devices.
