Technical features

Di-Pen is a device to assist diabetic patients while taking insulin through a generic insulin pen. This is composed of a sensorized case, compatible with insulin pens on the market, with which it is possible to measure the injection angle, recognize the anatomical site (and the point inside it) where the patient chooses to perform the injection, identify the presence of a lipodystrophy and detect the insulin dose injected. Knowledge of this information is an essential factor in ensuring correct intake of the hormone and promoting the spread of responsible behavior by the patient. Furthermore, the device is completed by a front-end and back-end application to offer the patient or clinician in charge of the patient, subject to authorization to consult the data in compliance with the current privacy legislation, the consultation of the data. acquired through graphic interfaces and summary and detailed information representations.
