DEVICE FOR THE ANALYSIS OF LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT SubstanceS
Introduction
The present invention consists of a new interface (Liquid-EI, LEI) between a high-performance liquid chromatograph (LC) and a mass spectrometer equipped with electron ionization (EIMS). The device allows the analysis of a wide range of different low molecular weight molecules. The possibility to generate EI mass spectra provides the identification and quantification of the analytes in various matrices for a wide range of applications (i.e. biomedical, environmental, food, forensic, drugs of abuse).
